Scans Page
The Scans page displays all scan activities performed across your selected assets, including EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and backup recovery points. You can view results, filter by status, and drill down into individual scan details.
Filters
Use the filter bar at the top to refine the displayed results:
Assets – Filter by a specific asset or view All assets.
-
Status – Filter scans by result:
Succeeded
Failed
In Progress
Canceled
Job Type – Filter by scan type (e.g., EC2 Scan, EBS Snapshot Scan, AWS Backup RP Scan).
Date Range – Use From and To fields to filter scans by date. Click Clear to remove the filter.
Scan Results Table
Each row in the table represents a single scan and includes:
Scan Jobs – AWS account ID and region where the scan was performed.
Scheduled On – The date and time the scan was scheduled to run.
Duration – The time it took to complete the scan.
Status – The outcome of the scan (e.g., green checkmark for success).
-
Job Type – The scan type performed:
AWS EC2 Scan
AWS EBS Snapshot Scan
AWS Backup RP EC2/EBS Scan
Asset ID – The unique identifier of the scanned resource (clickable for more details).
Message – Summary of the scan result (e.g., Completed successfully).
Task – Description of the scan operation (e.g., Scan EC2 instance AWS Backup recovery point).
Expanding Rows
Click the arrow icon at the start of a row to expand and view detailed scan results, findings, and recovery options for that asset.
Tip:
Use filters to quickly locate failed scans for investigation or to verify that high-priority assets were successfully scanned within the expected time frame.
Deployment Page
The Deployment page provides a record of deployment-related jobs, such as installing, upgrading, or modifying Elastio components (e.g., Cloud Connectors) across your environment.
Filters
Use the filter bar at the top to refine deployment job results:
Job Type – Filter by deployment task type (e.g., Upgrade Cloud Connector, Install Connector).
Job Status – Filter by result status (All, Succeeded, Failed, In Progress).
Date Range – Use From and To fields to show jobs within a specific time range. Click Clear to remove filters.
Deployment Jobs Table
Each row displays a deployment event with the following details:
Scheduled On – The date and time the job was scheduled.
Job Type – The type of deployment task executed.
Cloud Connector – AWS account ID and region where the deployment occurred.
Message – Summary of the job result (e.g., Completed successfully).
Task – Details of the operation performed (e.g., Upgrade cloud connector in us-east-1 region).
Completed On – The date and time the job finished.
Example Use Case:
If you need to confirm whether a connector upgrade was completed across all required AWS regions, filter the Job Type to Upgrade Cloud Connector and verify that all relevant accounts and regions have a successful status.
Tip:
Regularly checking the Deployment page ensures that all connectors remain up to date, which is critical for maintaining compatibility and security.
System Page
The System page provides visibility into system-level jobs that ensure your Elastio environment stays synchronized, compliant, and up to date. These jobs typically relate to evaluating policy coverage, synchronizing plan statuses, and other internal maintenance tasks.
Filters
Use the top filter bar to narrow results:
Job Type – Filter by the type of system task (e.g., Evaluate Policies, Set Plan Status).
Job Status – Filter by execution status (All, Succeeded, Failed, In Progress).
Date Range – Use From and To fields to display results within a specified period. Click Clear to remove date filtering.
System Jobs Table
Each row displays details for a specific system task:
Scheduled On – Date and time the system job was initiated.
-
Job Type – The type of operation performed:
Evaluate Policies – Reviews protection policy coverage across assets and regions.
Set Plan Status – Synchronizes the status of a protection policy or plan across connected accounts and regions.
Cloud Connector – AWS account ID and region where the job was executed.
Message – Outcome summary (e.g., Completed successfully).
Task – Detailed description of the task performed.
Completed On – Date and time the job finished.
Example Use Cases:
Evaluate Policies – Run to ensure all designated assets are covered by the intended protection policies.
Set Plan Status – Useful for confirming policy synchronization after changes or deployments.
Tip:
Regularly review the System tab to confirm that policy evaluations and synchronizations are completing successfully, ensuring your protection coverage remains consistent across all environments.
